JOUR5190 – Social Justice Journalism
In my social justice journalism class, I was given the opportunity to produce three stories that highlight underrepresented communities through the course of the semester. As a student journalist, I am committed to telling the stories of marginalized communities, ensuring their voices are heard and holding those in power accountable. To me, listening to the stories of underrepresented communities and properly telling them is crucial to the health of all communities, making them more empathetic and well-rounded. JOUR4090 – Multiplatform Storytelling
In my Multiplatform Storytelling class, I was assigned to write a long-form article with multiplatform elements, including a graphic and a podcast. This assignment allowed me to hone in my writing and graphic design skills while also experimenting with audio editing.
