When I originally started creating this website, I thought I had a HIST2112 test on the same day this project was due, and I wanted to kill two birds with one stone. Thankfully, I misread the dates, and my test is not until next Thursday. I have created simple websites with HTML and CSS before, so I wanted to challenge myself a little bit with this assignment. Some of the features I am most proud of are the dropdown menu in the navigation bar that links to my notes embedded from Google Docs and the picture of the book that is also a link to the Amazon page I bought it from. When creating this project, I really struggled with creating and styling the navigation bar. This process definitely took me the longest, but I now know how to do it, which will help me with future assignments. Throughout the website, I tried to incorporate semantic design through the use of both a serif and sanserif font, different sizings for various elements and the incorporation of lines to separate large chunks of information. I am very glad I now have this study tool that helped me look over my notes for my test next week while also building a website.
